Company's Asking for Social Media Passwords? HELL NAW!

When preparing for a job interview, you generally go over a series of possible questions the interviewer could ask you in your head and how you would answer them. After going on about 5 or 6 interviews, you realize that most interviewers generally ask the same questions. They want you to show them how you would be an asset to their company and they want to see that you have good character that would not jeopardize the moral fiber of their company or their cash flow. Imagine sitting down in an interview with all your pre-prepared answers to all those hypothetical pre-prepared questions and having the interviewer hit you with the crunkest question you would have never expected,
"What is the password to your facebook account?"
A while back I did a post on the privacy invasion of major company's hiring hackers to get access to job applicants social networking websites called "Should Companies Hack Social Networking Sites?"...

So now they are bold enough to having the audacity to form their lips to ask you for the password to your Facebook or Twitter account in interviews?

Ways To Respond:

1. "Sure. Are you ready? Ok, my password is F-U-B-I-T-C-H," then politely get up and walk out.

2. Take the honorable approach, say "Just as I would not give out this company's private passwords to someone who asked for them without a police warrant, I do not feel I should give out my private passwords without one either."...then if they don't hire you, lawyer up and SUE THE FUCK out of the place. Have the sign changed to (INSERT YOUR NAME HERE), LLC.

...in all seriousness...why would you even want to work for a company that did not respect your privacy as a human being? What's next? Asking that a camera be installed in your home? Seems to me that this request is a way for companies to dig up information on you that would be ILLEGAL for them to ask in an interview such as your sexual preference, political views, religion, etc.

Facebook has recently released a statement stating that they do not agree with this because not only by companies asking for these passwords are the jeopardizing the privacy of the person being interviewed, but they are jeopardizing the privacy of ALL members of that person's friend list who did not give their permission for that company to view their personal information.

I see a lot of law suits about to pop off shortly from this. These companies need to HAVE A SEAT...a few of them at that.

You're Too Old for the Club

Atlanta nightlife is unique than that of most cities. Every night of the week, 365 days of the year, there is a party or an event that brings out hoardes of people ready to mingle and partake in an assortment of cocktails. The lure of new clubs, lounges, bars, restaurants, and strip clubs guarantees that night life in this city always stays fresh. Hell, our popular clubs change with season here! With all this in mind, it is easy to see why someone could stay on the "night life scene" here in Atlanta for a extended period of time.

...But DAMN! Some of you need to understand you are EXPIRED MILK in the grand scheme of night life. Your glory days are over, and your old ass needs to get married and work on having a few little ones.

DAMN SALLIE MAE: Sallie Mae Personified

While surfing the web I came across this video by DORMTAINMENT.COM that outlines the perils of taking large student loans and personifies Sallie Mae.

While funny, this video sheds light on the high cost of getting a college education. At the young and financially immature age of 18 years old, many of today's youth sign their names on the hearty finanical binding contracts that outline financial aid. In addition, many of these young people assume that there is not much reason to worry about taking lofty sums of money from the government for education because their degrees will allow them to easily pay back the money owed at a later date.

If you ask most college freshman on a campus where they hope to be in 10 years, their dreams will most likely include high paying jobs, husbands, wives, houses, children, and cars. However, the reality is that many college graduates are living in poverty or pay check to pay check struggling to pay life's day to day bills yet alone pay large amounts in student loan payments.

Do you think this video could be education to the young adult who is financially immature? Do you think Sallie Mae's personification in this video was accurate?

KONY2012: A Movement to Save Children Soliders

Social media is a very powerful tool.  For the first time in history people all over the world can share ideas, pictures, and videos.  Through social networking sites that have over 750 million users like Facebook, people from all walks of lives share things with their communities everyday.

Invisible Childern, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is striving to make the world's worst criminals famous.  The concept is that if the world's worst criminals are made into the same type of celebrity we see on the cover of magazines and head-lining popular blogs, then people can be made aware that they exist and the horrible crimes they commit.

Currently,  Invisible Childern, Inc. has created a 27 minute video entitled "Kony2012" that is going viral about Joesph Kony, the Ugandan guerilla group leader of an organization called the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army).  For more than 20 years, Kony has abducted nearly 30,000 African childern.  The abducted childern are forced to kill their parents, subjected to rape and sexual slavery, and forced to mutilate and kill civilian populations all in the name of Kony's warped version of "Christianity."  Kony was indicted by the International Criminal Court in 2005 and is listed as the world's worst criminal.  His crimes transend politics and money, as they are against humanity and effect the lives of innocent childern by robbing them of their childhoods and forcing them to become war machines and sexual bargining tools.

While the validity of Invisible Childern, Inc. has been called into question (it is reported by some sources that only 31% of the proceeds go towards this cause and the rest of the proceeds remain in the pockets of the group's creators), the fact remains that the concept of making criminals famous spreads the word about who they are, their crimes, and envokes the masses to do something to stop them.

As the viral video states, "Nothing is More Powerful Than an Idea." Watch the moving video below.
