
Soul Train is the longest running and nationally syndicated black television show (1971-2006). Soul Train served a platform for black music when there were no television shows that aired Funk, Jazz, Disco, R&B, and Soul music by black entertainers. It was hosted by Don Cornelious and had over 1,000 shows that aired.
